D Magazine and f.i.g. have revived the spirit of the original Dallas Nine with D Art Slam at f.i.g. D Art Slam is an annual juried exhibition where artists display and sell their work. Each year, the jury will select the exhibiting artists and The New Dallas Nine Awards winners to honor local talent whose work embodies the spirit of each of the original Dallas Nine. The original Dallas Nine was a group of artists in the 1930s known for their experimental artwork.
